The New Longview Pickleball Complex

Serve. Rally. Repeat.

It's almost time! The ribbon-cutting and official opening of the complex will be on Saturday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m.! LSPR's new outdoor pickleball complex offers a premier space for players of all skill levels to enjoy the game in a thoughtfully designed setting. The facility features 12 courts, including eight first-come, first-served courts for casual, spontaneous play, and four reservable courts for those who prefer to plan ahead.

Designed with both comfort and convenience in mind, the complex includes court lighting for evening play, shaded areas, ample seating for players and spectators, and full fencing to enhance safety and playability. Whether you are stopping by for a quick match or settling in for extended play, this new complex provides a welcoming and high-quality pickleball experience.

Pickleball Complex FAQs

The pickleball complex is open daily from 5 a.m. - 11 p.m.

The Pickleball Complex features a total of 12 courts.

  • Courts 1–4 are designated as reservable courts.
  • Courts 5–12 are available for open play on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Courts 1–4 may be used when no reservation is scheduled.

Additional court use information:

  • Players must vacate the court when the reserved time begins.
  • A display monitor at the complex will show the daily reservation schedule for reservable courts.

The pickleball courts will be available for play in January 2026.


•    Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
•    Courts are available to all residents and non-residents.
•    Reservations are for small group play only.
•    Private tournaments, leagues, clinics and fundraising events are prohibited.

 

•    Rental fee is $20 per hour.
•    Courts may be reserved up to 7 days in advance.
•    Court reservations are limited to 2 hours per day.
•    All court reservation fees are non-refundable.
•    Reservations are for small group play only.

Courts may be reserved using one of the following options:

  • Scan the QR code located at the pickleball complex.
  • Reserve through the LSPR mobile app.
  • Reserve online at LSParks.net.
  • Reserve in person at any LSPR community center.

Additional reservation guidelines:

  • Court reservations are intended for small group play only.
  • Private tournaments, leagues, clinics, and fundraising events are not permitted.

  • Players waiting to play place one paddle per person in the first available open slot on the paddle rack.
  • A sliding marker shows which group is up next and moves from left to right.
  • When a game ends, the next group in line rotates onto the court.
  • As paddles are removed for play, the marker is moved to the right to indicate the next group.
  • Once the marker reaches the end, it is returned to the far left.
  • Players who wish to continue playing must place their paddles at the end of the line.
  • Waiting players continue to move forward in the queue as courts become available.
  • Only one paddle may be used to hold a spot per player.
  • When players are waiting, games are limited to 20 minutes, regardless of score.

•    Yes, the courts have lights.
•    To start the court lights, press the button outside the courts.

 

  • Public restrooms are available inside the Longview Community Center during the community center's operating hours only.
  • Pickleball complex restrooms are planned for Phase Two, beginning in early 2026.

  • Yes 

•    Shelter reservations will not be allowed for the first year.
•    This will allow us to get all phases of construction completed and evaluate the use of the park.

  • Use of alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana is prohibited on Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation property.
  • No bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, or pets allowed on the courts.
  • Please keep the courts and seating areas clean and dispose of trash properly.
  • Complete park rules and ordinances.

There are two phases for construction:

  • Phase 1-12 court pickleball complex.
  • Phase 2- Playground, adventure playground, restrooms, shelters, perimeter walking trail, parking lot improvements and a food truck area.

While we don't foresee this being an issue, for assistance with reservation problems:

-During weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., call LSPR at 816.969.1512

-Evening or weekend assistance, call the police non-emergency line at 816.969.7407

-For police, fire, or medical emergencies, dial 911
